Media Release - January 14, 2025   Assault A Port Hope youth has been charged with assault after a confrontation with his mother. In the evening of January 13, 2025, the accused’s mother approached her son in their residence and began to question him regarding his prescribed medication.  The Accused became upset and struck his mother in her head with a closed fist.  As a result, the youth was arrested and charged with assault. Media Release - December 10, 2024   Media Release - December 10, 2024 Port Hope Police Investigating Vehicle Mischiefs on Arthur Street The Port Hope Police Service is actively investigating a series of mischief incidents involving vehicles in the Arthur Street area. These occurrences have been reported between October 2024 and December 2024. PHPS is encouraging residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity or additional incidents of vehicle mischief.
